Update on the tropics with a chance for Nadine to form today or tomorrow, when the cold front will move through the northeast, and some thoughts about Halloween and early November in the tropics:

- Invest 95L now has a 50% chance to become a short-lived Tropical Depression or Tropical Storm Nadine before it heads inland into Belize later tomorrow.

- Invest 94L is down to a 10% chance of tropical development.

- Still breezy for Long Island and the northeast coast from the offshore storm, but it will gradually decrease this afternoon and especially this evening. A beautiful weekend ahead with blue skies and light winds through Tuesday with a warming trend.

- A cold front looks to move through the northeast late Wed night into Thursday morning or early afternoon with a chance of showers, especially inland and to the north.

- Cooler behind the front with nice weather again for NEXT weekend.

- Temperatures are looking to be mild in the northeast on Halloween with highs potentially in the mid 60's for Long Island.

- There are still subtle/early signs, although a very low chance for now, of a tropical storm or hurricane to form in the southwestern Caribbean either at the end of the month or more likely in early November. It's nothing to worry about right now.
