- There's a Winter Weather Advisory for Nassau and NYC from 8 PM tonight to 1 PM tomorrow for 2 to 3 inches of snow with a light glaze of ice possible. Most of the accumulations will be done by 8 AM before changing to rain showers for most of Long Island.
- I've included the latest NWS snow maps below for Long Island, NYC, and southern New England. I have also included the snow maps for the entire northeast from the HRRR. Stay tuned for the latest info today with more snow maps and timing future radar videos.
- Very cold behind the storm with wind chills around 10 degrees for Long Island tomorrow night.
- While the main storm system for Friday into early Saturday morning looks to be well offshore for now, it looks like an extended period of light/moderate snow for Long Island and other areas in the northeastern Mid-Atlantic as well as southern New England. The last 3 images are from the Euro and Euro ensembles for Friday evening. Stay tuned for many more updates, but the current Model Blend and Euro are showing 2 to 5 inch potential. However, if the storm is closer to the coast, amounts could be higher.
- Frigid this coming weekend followed by a warm-up next week. Probably no snow chances then until maybe around Jan 29th or so.
