- The signal is still pretty strong for the storm to arrive later on Thanksgiving and intensify near the New England coast on Friday. Likely all rain for Long Island and southeastern New England. Best chance for all snow is away from the coast and for areas in central to northern NY /New England. The maps below show the areas with the best chance for snow. Don't focus on the amounts yet.
