***Update on the potential hurricane, Heat Advisory, thunderstorms, cooler weather, and then the Labor Day weekend cold front and uncertainty followed by beautiful and cooler weather next week!***

- One day of very hot weather tomorrow with heat index temperatures up to 100 degrees for NYC and northwestern Long Island. A Heat Advisory has been issued for all of NYC and for me in northern Nassau. Check out the heat index temperatures from the HRRR model in the 2nd image!

- While the SPC thunderstorm map (6th image) is impressive for tomorrow, the models are not impressive at all for Long Island as they barely show any action at all, even through the evening.

- MUCH cooler and less humid on Thursday and Friday with an onshore flow.

- There is timing uncertainty for the weekend, but sticking with the Euro, it looks like the timing of the cold front may be more in the evening/night for Long Island and possibly into Sunday morning. The GFS and Canadian have a later timing with more unsettled weather for Sunday and Labor Day, while the Euro just has a secondary cold front come through dry on Sunday night.

- Beautiful weather though from next Tuesday to next Friday with cooler temperatures and LOW humidity.

- Regarding the potential hurricane, it's likely still 5 or 6 days away from forming, but the Euro ensembles show it has the potential to become a major hurricane. The tracks beyond 7 or 8 days are really all over the place as some ensembles take it into the Gulf and some curve it north and keep it offshore with everything in between as well, so just stay tuned in the coming days.
