Update on the coming rain, snow, wind, and cold, as well as the Long Island forecast and a brief look at this weekend and early next week:

- I have included the latest snow maps from the Model Blend and National Weather Service, but I'll have more updates today with the latest info. The strong wind gusts for Thursday afternoon/night and the very cold wind chills will definitely be impressive.

- It looks like a weak clipper or two this weekend for northern areas of the northeast and then milder early next week with some rain, although it may start as snow up north; there is plenty of time to watch it.
