- The National NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center is not up to a 60% chance of tropical development within the next 7 days, and you can see that their track is slowly coming around to the idea of the Euro ensembles with it curving northward. It's still 3 to 5 days away from forming, and the ensembles show a chance for it to become a hurricane and come up the coast a bit before probably curving out to sea. Stay tuned!
- Very high humidity is here to stay for Long Island through the weekend with a slight chance of an isolated thunderstorm today and a better chance tomorrow followed by the 2 hottest days on Thursday and Friday and then a chance of thunderstorms late Saturday and a better chance of Sunday with locally heavy downpours. Because I know some of you will mention it, it will be very breezy this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon on Long Island with a southerly wind with gusts over 25 mph and over 30 mph along the south shore.
