The Long Island forecast with future radar maps showing the thunderstorms:

- The tornado threat for the northeast for tomorrow afternoon/evening is not high, but the only real chance is in the yellow area in the 2nd image. The potential for damaging wind gusts and hail extends outward into the darker green area, which includes Nassau on Long Island.

- I have included future radar maps for tomorrow into tomorrow night to give you an idea of the timing for your area.

- I also want to note that lows this evening on Long Island will be in the upper 30's, but temperatures will rise steadily after midnight to around 50 degrees by early tomorrow morning.
