- We have the cold weather now with 2 more very cold nights ahead with a near-record strength high pressure building into northern New England tomorrow.
- A weak system for Long Island and southern areas of the northeast for Monday and becoming mild, and then a cold front moves through with rain Tuesday morning, and it will be mild and breezy.
- Complex set-up for the end of next week. Maybe a system moves through on Thursday with a chance for a storm along the coast on Friday into Saturday morning. Areas away from the coast have the best chance for snow, but it's still a long way out. Some of the Euro ensembles are showing the storm, and the main Euro run is also showing this basic idea. Even some of the GFS ensemble members have it, despite what the main GFS and Canadian runs are showing. It's the scenario that makes the most sense to me and then an Arctic blast behind the storm for next weekend until Monday, December 23rd, and then warming a little bit by Christmas. Stay tuned for many updates!
