Still an Air Quality Alert today, but getting back to more typical weather:

- Only low to moderate haze/smoke today with afternoon and evening scattered showers and thunderstorms in the northeast with the potential for a localized downpour, gusty winds and/or small hail.

- A dry weekend for Long Island with only a very slight chance of a passing shower tomorrow afternoon, almost not worth mentioning.

- Rain mostly for Monday night into early Tuesday morning, but there can be a shower Monday afternoon.
