- The details for Long Island are in the forecast below, and the snow maps from the National Weather Service and HRRR for areas to the north are in the last 2 images as the HRRR and NAM are more bullish on snow amounts than the National Weather Service, although amounts will be fairly low as the storm will be farther east when it starts to strengthen.
- Very cold then from late Friday night through Sunday morning, and you can see the projected wind chill temps for around midnight Saturday night in the 2nd image.
- Much milder next week with some showers at times from Tuesday to Thursday with some rain and wind on Thursday as a strong cold front comes through. There is the potential for wind gusts up to 50 mph (from the south) for some areas, especially along the coast. The rain may briefly end as snow for areas north of Long Island.
