- While Rafael is a 120 mph hurricane in the Gulf, it will steadily weaken over the next few days and is really nothing to worry about for the Gulf coast. The tropical wave just north of the Caribbean is still being given only a 20% chance of tropical development.
- Red Flag Warnings for today from the upper Mid-Atlantic into southern New England with dry and windy conditions. Tomorrow will also be very low humidity in the afternoon with a slowly decreasing breeze, so there will also be an elevated fire danger tomorrow.
- Cold and windy tonight! Even colder tomorrow night, but becoming calm, so it won't feel as cold.
- Finally some rain for Long Island and the Mid-Atlantic and northeast from Sunday evening into Monday morning.
- There is still uncertainty in the details, but another chance for rain next Thursday.
