- There was a magnitude 5.9 earthquake near the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico around 12:49 AM.
- Mild today with temperature reaching 60 degrees in NJ and the low to mid 50's in parts of Long Island and southern New England.
- There will be a weak system moving through the northeast today with a few showers and some snow for the higher elevations for northern areas, and there will also be a storm staying offshore tonight.
- Then we have the frontal system for later tomorrow night into Thursday with showers for southern areas and snow changing to rain for central to northern areas and then some backside inland snow Thursday night into Friday morning with chilly and windy conditions on Friday in the northeast.
- Then we have the clipper for Saturday with some snow to the north and a few showers for southern areas.
- Very cold then for Sunday into Monday with windy conditions Sunday into Monday morning with frigid wind chills Sunday evening into early Monday morning (see 3rd image).
- It then becomes milder again with a storm cutting inland bringing rain and breezy conditions for the northeast around next Wednesday or Wednesday night into early Thursday morning possible.
- It then becomes chillier again behind that storm, but nothing crazy.
