... elevations to the north and then windy with cold air and the best signal yet for snow from potentially 2 systems January 6th to 10thđ§đŹâïž
- So much going on, but basically we have the cutter storm with severe weather in the south and up in the northeast it will be rainy, windy, and mild. Ahead of it though, we have ice (freezing rain) to deal with late tonight into tonight for areas north and west of NYC with widespread Winter Weather Advisories. I'll post a future radar video a little later this morning. It will be a rainy day tomorrow for Long Island and then a bit of a lull Sunday afternoon before the steadier rain and wind for Sunday night into early Monday morning.
- The New Year's storm starts as a cutter and then a secondary storm forms along the coast and becomes the dominant storm and rain can change to snow in the higher elevations inland to the north.
- Colder and windy behind the storm for next Thursday/Friday.
- Potential for some northeast snow at night next Sunday (Jan 5th) into next Monday (Jan 6th) with the potential for a snowstorm around January 9th/10th with even colder air behind it. It's obviously a long way out, but the pattern will support it.
