***Happy Thanksgiving!! 4:15 AM update with the storm in progress with widespread rain and snow in the northeast! Long Island forecast, and all of the latest maps! Model Blend now has 66 inches of...

... snow over the next 10 days for Tug Hill, NY! Extended period of below normal temperatures!***

- Wishing each of you a very Happy Thanksgiving! Please be safe if you're traveling today. I am so thankful for all of you!

- You all know about the storm today. I have the latest snow maps below, as well as max wind gusts. Rainfall amounts are generally 0.5" to 1.0". The rain ends on Long Island between 3 PM and 5 PM from west to east. It's amazing how far off the National Weather Service was with their initial snow maps for this storm as they have since increased them.

- The Lake Effect snow will be crazy with the National Weather Service snow map showing 3 to 4 feet for Tug Hill, NY by 7 PM Saturday, and the Model Blend now showing 66 inches over the next 10 days, and peak amounts will likely be over 70 inches.

- A generally cold and dry pattern for the northeast besides the Lake Effect snow. A couple of clippers and reinforcing shots of cold air later next week. Still watching for a potential bigger storm maybe between December 8th and 12th, but it's still a long way out.
