***Warm and dry today, watching showers Thursday morning from the front and indirect interaction with strong extratropical Oscar for eastern Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, and an update on potential Hurricane Patty with the GFS ensembles more bullish than the Euro ensembles, and yes I saw the GFS run for 2 weeks from now.***
- Another very warm and dry late October day with highs close to 80 degrees for parts of Long Island with almost no wind and no clouds.
- The cold front may produce an enhanced area of showers for Long Island Thursday morning into early afternoon from indirect interaction with the strong extratropical storm (Oscar) heading for eastern Nova Scotia and Newfoundland Thursday evening into Friday.
- Cold night Thursday night and cool on Friday.
- Another cold front should come through dry for Long Island Saturday morning, but it will be fairly mild Saturday afternoon before the cold air filters in, so it will be much cooler Sunday and Monday with highs in the 50's.
- It still looks mild/warm on Halloween as a cold front approaches possibly at night.
- The GFS ensembles are much more bullish than the Euro ensembles on the potential Caribbean hurricane for the end of October into early November. Plenty of time to watch it. Yes, I saw where the GFS run brings it (into North Carolina and the Delmarva area), and while it's not impossible, the chances are very low.
