***Frigid morning and an update on the snow for tonight into tomorrow (mostly to the north) as colder air lasts through Christmas before a warm-up and unsettled weather and a possible New Year's...

... storm with the cold air and snow chances to follow***

- Areas away from the coast that went completely clear and calm are way below zero. Temperatures are just starting to drop quickly now at Westhampton Beach on Long Island as it took longer for the wind to decrease. It looks like it's down to 6 degrees with a big drop in the last hour and it still has 2 to 3 more hours to go.

- We have the snow event for tonight into tomorrow with it just being around 2 hours of light snow for Long Island tomorrow morning. I have included all of the snow maps below.

- Quiet and cold weather for Christmas and then a gradual warm up at the end of this week and into the weekend as it looks like rain for Sunday into Monday with possible ice and snow to the north.

- Then possibly a New Year's Day storm again with some snow and ice possible to the north, and this is the storm that really brings back the below normal temperatures behind it, and then we watch for storm chances. Slight chance around January 5th.
