***Finally some substantial precipitation headed to the northeast with rain, snow, and wind to usher in the pattern change that I posted about a while ago.***

- There is still an elevated risk of fire spread today for Long Island and the Tri-State area as it will become breezy and dry this afternoon. It will also be the last of the very mild days in this stretch.

- The GFS is still more bullish than the Euro on the new England higher-elevation snow, so I have included the Model Blend precipitation and snow maps below, as well as the max gusts in knots from the Euro for a general idea with the potential for wind gusts up to 50 mph, mainly along the coast and at higher elevations.

- 2nd and 3rd images: Model Blend precipitation and snow maps through Saturday

- 4th image: Maximum projected wind gusts in knots through Thursday from the Euro for a general idea

- 5th image: Long Island temperatures for the next 15 days from the Euro ensembles
