šŸ”„ā„ļøšŸ„¶Devastating fires continue in southern California and a very windy day in the northeast with the latest maps for the snow and then a quieter week next week with a cold blast for Tues night...

... to Fri morning and then more active the week of the 19th!šŸ”„ā„ļøšŸ„¶

-Multiples fires continue to rage out of control in southern California, and the winds will pick up again later this morning through this evening.

- A frigid start in the northeast due to the strong winds. Wind Advisories have been issued for Long Island and most of southern New England for wind gusts up to 50 mph, and gusts will be even higher at elevation (see 2nd image).

- I posted the National Weather Service snow map and the snow map from the Euro below, and I will continue to post updates today. It's a big snowstorm for northeastern Texas and for Arkansas and a significant winter storm for parts of the southeast and then generally light accumulations in the northeast.

- Not as cold for Sunday into Tuesday and then another shot of very cold air for the northeast from Tuesday night into Friday morning, but there are no big storms for next week.

- Things will get active again for the week of January 19th with some more cold air to work with.
