... air building in on Saturday***
- A quiet day today in the northeast, but becoming windy ahead of the cold front with strong winds from the SW, especially at night. You can see the max gusts through 12 PM tomorrow from the HRRR model in the 2nd image.
- The cold front late tonight into tomorrow morning brings snow squalls across the interior and maybe a snow shower by the time it gets to the coast by around Noon tomorrow, and the wind continues behind the front from the NW.
- The clipper then moves in quickly Tuesday night into Wednesday night with some snow for areas mainly north of Long Island, and it will really be 2 areas of low pressures and then the cold front moves through Wednesday night bringing very cold air for Wednesday night through Thursday.
- While there is still a lot of uncertainty and also timing differences, the next system looks to arrive on Friday and bring some rain and snow into Saturday morning before it heads out and gets suppressed by cold air building in from the north. The GFS and Canadian models are farther south and later with the system than the Euro. I'll post more updates on it today.
