***4:40 AM update on the Sunday/Monday storm with widespread snow/ice, the Long Island forecast, the northeast Lake Effect snow, extended windy conditions, the weak clipper to the south for...

... tomorrow that will become the Newfoundland monster storm, and the cold and generally dry weather for a while, and the next potential window for a storm***

- First, we still have snow ongoing in parts of northern New England as well as Lake Effect snow. The 2nd image shows the National Weather Snow map through 7 PM Saturday, and it also shows snow to the south from the clipper tomorrow. I will probably post more about that a little later this morning.

- The Wind Advisory continues until this evening for a large part of the northeast with wind gusts mostly up to 40 to 50 mph with higher gusts at elevation. While it won't be quite as windy as last night into today, it will generally stay windy for the next several days.

- The new Euro run was similar to the 18Z run that I posted last night, which was notably farther north than the 12Z run yesterday. I have included all of the snow maps below for a general idea. This will also be a significant ice storm since it will be moving west to east and "training" over the same area. The snow still has a little room to come farther north, but I don't expect any huge changes.

- Behind the storm, it will generally be very cold and dry. There is only a slight chance for a southern system at the end of next week. After then, the next "potential" window for a storm is around Jan 15th to 17th as the pattern changes.
