- Much different weather today than yesterday for most areas of the northeast with the fog and cooler conditions for Long Island and the coast. We have the approaching cold front late today into tonight from west to east with a period of moderate/heavy rain. For Long Island, most of the rain should be between 11 PM and 5 AM. A secondary storm develops and passes over Long Island and heads northeast, so there will be some mountain snow to the north tomorrow.
- Very windy tomorrow with max gusts mostly around 35 to 45 mph with higher gusts at elevation.
- A weak system moves through the northeast on Saturday, although it should remain dry on Long Island. It will also be breezy and mild and then cold air moves in Saturday night.
- Chilly on Sunday ahead of the next system with rain for late Sunday night into Monday afternoon with some snow to the north.
- There's a low/moderate chance for another system/storm next Wednesday, and if it happens, snow could be a bit farther south with it.
