... of the northeast on Saturday with some extended icing up north and eventually mild air and rain everywhere on Monday into Monday night and then a couple of cooler days ahead of the next storm***

- Some scattered snow showers inland and to the north swinging through the northeast today from a trough with a few widely scattered rain showers making it farther southeast late in the day or in the early evening, and it will become breezy and last into tomorrow, and then a weak front moves through tomorrow night.

- Milder on Friday and then the warm front lifts northward into southern New England on Saturday morning and brings some showers and some ice and snow to the north. Exactly how far northeast the warm air gets is a little uncertain, but it should at least make it through Long Island and into at least parts of CT. The Euro has the warmth get father northeast than the GFS. There will be a very sharp temperature gradient near the front. Temperatures should make it into the 70's on Long Island away from the immediate south shore and east end.

- Eventually, more showers work through later on Sunday and at times on Monday with the main batch of steadier rain from the storm looking to be Monday afternoon into Monday evening and ending at night.

- It looks like a couple of cooler days then for next Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of the next storm for next Thursday with snow possible for northern areas and rain for southern/central areas of the northeast.
