... weekend with a cold front and another system early next week***
- There was a magnitude 3.9 earthquake near San Francisco last night and a magnitude 3.4 earthquake near Seattle last night.
- Extremely critical fire-weather conditions today into tonight for parts of New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma.
- A couple of nice and mild days for most in the northeast, especially tomorrow for areas away from the coast.
- Clouds generally increase late tomorrow into tomorrow night ahead of the front. It will still be pretty mild Thursday with the cloud and then rain arriving from west to east in the afternoon and evening. A secondary storm will form along the front south of Long Island and head northeast up the coast and then out. This will bring in colder air, changing the rain to snow Thursday night into Friday, mostly/especially for higher elevations and inland and up north. I have included some snow maps below. It will also become very windy Friday into Friday night with max gusts generally 40 to 50 mph, highest at elevation.
- Milder again on Saturday ahead of a cold front for the evening/night, and then sunny and cooler on Sunday.
- Another complex system affects the northeast Monday into Tuesday morning with some snow farther north.
- Generally near normal temps overall for next week and the end of the month with a few days above and below normal.
