***4:25 AM update: Cold and windy in the northeast as Lake Effect snow continues and then a brief warm-up ahead of a cold front for later on Saturday and then a chance for a little snow Sunday...

... night into Monday morning ahead of the Arctic air for Monday night into Thursday morning next week.***


- Colder and windy for today through tomorrow in the northeast as another cold front comes through later with a chance of snow showers, and the Lake Effect snow continues.

- The wind dies down for Thursday and then it becomes milder on Friday into Saturday ahead of a cold front that will bring some showers Saturday afternoon with a little snow for northern areas.

- Then there is a chance for a little snow Sunday night into Monday from a weak area of pressure that night form along the Arctic boundary.

- The Arctic air arrives Monday night and generally lasts into Thursday morning with frigid conditions.
