- Most models now have the first system arriving on Wednesday afternoon and ending by mid-day Thursday with snow for mostly northern areas of the northeast, especially at elevation, although the Euro is a little farther south with the snow.
- Then the models generally have the 2nd system for Friday afternoon into Saturday being farther north and coming down as a clipper that eventually strengthens farther north and as it gets offshore with some snow mostly for northern New England, especially Maine. However, many of the Euro ensembles have a much different look, with a stronger storm farther south with some showing big snow for interior areas of the northeast, so this is something to keep in mind as the more progressive and drier scenario isn't set in stone yet.
- Either way, it will be very cold next weekend, especially from Saturday night into Tuesday morning, December 23rd. It then gradually warms with above average temps starting the day after Christmas. Colder air probably doesn't return until early January, and then things should be fun for a few weeks.
- I may have some brief updates this morning into early afternoon, and then I'll have a bunch of updates from mid-afternoon through the evening.
