Flash Flood Watch today, and then an extended stretch of sunny, beautiful weather from Wednesday through the weekend!
- The Flash Flood Watch is for Nassau westward through NYC and into NJ and SE NY state from Noon today through tomorrow morning. Slow-moving storms with heavy downpours will bring the potential for gusty winds and rainfall totals of between 1.5 and 3 inches with the potential for isolated amounts greater than 3 inches.
- Highs will only be in the low 80's today for Long Island and there will only be a couple of scattered showers or thunderstorms through late afternoon. The main action looks to be later this evening into tonight. There will also be rain tomorrow morning into afternoon ending west to east, and highs will only be in the mid 70's tomorrow.
- Perfect weather Wednesday through Sunday with mostly sunny skies and low to moderate humidity. Temperatures will gradually rise from the low 80's on Wednesday to the upper 80's for the weekend.
